About Megladon®
Megladon Manufacturing Group, Ltd. was created as a subsidiary of Tyrex Group, Ltd. on January 1, 2000 after spending three years as an incubated division. Megladon became the first company to emerge from the Tyrex Partnering Program.
In 2000, STG 4Fronts, a technology incubator specializing in optical research and development was created as a subsidiary of Megladon. With knowledge from and relationships within the scientific community, this entity was created to provide Megladon and the Fiber Products Group with intellectual property in the fiber optic arena. The first project, the Hardened Lens Contact (HLC) for fiber optic patch cables was a huge success. The project was completed within a tight budget and timeline. The technology was patented and transferred to the Fiber Products Group for application engineering, creation of manufacturing processes and marketing. The result was a core technology with far-reaching effects in the fiber optic industry.
Today, Megladon promotes the same original culture that has made us successful over the years. Megladon’s company culture is based upon the Tyrex Diamond Disciplines: Economic Prosperity, Entrepreneurship, Employee Well-Being and Community Citizenship. We believe all four aspects must be not only present, but in balance, in order to succeed.
Our quest as part of the Tyrex Family is to become “special” as well as successful. This includes a longevity factor that claims we are “Built to Last.” With our individual commitments to our customers, vendors, communities and each other, Megladon is building a strong foundation that will prove invaluable in the years ahead.
Quality is another integral piece of the Megladon company culture. We strive to incorporate the highest level of quality in every transaction. This includes all communications and tasks involving any customer, vendor, employee or community in which we reside. This philosophy allows Megladon to ensure the quality of our products and services are a result of our overall quality mentality. |
