Community Citizenship

Megladon realizes the importance of giving back to the community and being a Corporate Citizen. We actually receive many benefits from our Community Citizenship Programs, including direct interaction with children in Austin whose circumstances are far from perfect and the ability to ensure our employees are able to build relationships with others. Our programs benefit children and their basic needs. The time we spend helping children also increases our own self-esteem and reminds us to be very thankful for all the blessings in our own lives.

These Community Citizenship Programs are dear to us. There are few things as precious as putting the smile back on a child’s face.

ROCK — Ride on Center for Kids uses horseback riding as a therapeutic tool for physically challenged children.

Caritas — Provide food, clothing and other necessities for US and refugee children.

Children’s Shelter — Provide food, clothing, and other necessities for abused and neglected children.

Safe Place — Provide food, clothing, school supplies and other necessities for abused children.

Brentwood Elementary School — Provide school supplies and books not funded in the AISD budget.

Thanksgiving/Christmas Family Sponsorship — Deliver meals and toys to families that cannot afford a holiday meal or toys for the children.
