Megladon Announces Partnership and Products

Megladon Manufacturing Group, Ltd. announced the appointment of TelRep Midwest to Megladon’s field sales force covering 14 Western states. TelRep Midwest is a recognized leader in the CATV and telecommunications industries and has recently expanded their line card to include additional fiber optic product.

“Having a quality manufacturer like Megladon adds value to our line card and allows us to offer our customers a larger selection of differentiating products,” said Pat Hanlon, President of TelRep Midwest. “We look forward to a long and productive relationship with Megladon as we focus on growing our business together.”

“This is a strategic relationship for Megladon,” stated John M. Culbert, President of Megladon. “The Western sales were an area where we did not have proper coverage.” TelRep Midwest will utilize existing relationships to market Megladon’s foundation HLC® fiber optic products as well as the new product releases designed for Central Office and CATV. “Our combined strengths will impact the marketplace,” said Culbert.

TelRep is the newest addition to Megladon’s growing distributor program. Other recent partnerships include Cable Organizer and Stayonline. Both are online catalog distributors.

Additionally, Megladon announced two significant new products to their line as well. First is the introduction of a new line of fiber optic distribution boxes. The company has also applied the patented HLC connectors with bend insensitive glass to create multi-fiber trunk cables and cable TV node tails. “What this means is that we can now offer a solution to our cable TV and telecomm clients rather than just supplying components,” said Culbert.
